Day 8: The Cliffs of Moher

On Thursday, we hit the road and drove across the country (not as far as it sounds) to the other side of the island. We went straight to the Cliffs of Moher near Shannon, which was about a 4 hour trip altogether. Along the way, we stopped at Durty Nelly's in Bunratty... (relax peeps, it's just a pub). It's been there since the 17th century and the food was fantastic. As you can see in the pic, it is actually right next to a sweet castle.
The Cliffs of Moher were amazing. Evidently, they are also known as the Cliffs of Insanity; the same "inconceivable" cliffs that Andre the Giant climbed with 3 peeps strapped to his belt in the Princess Bride movie.

We stayed our last night in Limerick, about an hour and a half back the way we came to see the cliffs. Despite popular belief, the people of Limerick do not speak in rhymes or poems.
Next stop... Paris

well, that's not strictly true about Limerickmen not speaking in rhymes or poetry - Jonathon often used rhyming couplets!! ha ha! Oh, and he loves your tales of Ireland! Can't wait to read your take on Paris!

ps. we miss you!! :o(

I can't believe all the things you are getting to see, it is never ending. I hope you will be in Utah someday so we can get together again and hear more about all your travels.
