We went to London... literally

So, British Airways was kind enough to actually include 2 free nights stay at a hotel in Breener's old London neighborhood near Kensington, so we thought that we'd fancy a stay there on our way to Prague. A wise man once said that nothing in life is free... but this is one of the few cases where he was absolutely wrong. BA literally gave us hotel vouchers that were worth as much as what it cost for one roundtrip ticket between Phoenix and London. Brilliant!! It was fairly windy, snowy, cold, and crowded, but what a great time.

It has been nearly two years since I proposed to Bree at the Tower of London. Does this bench look familiar? It's literally the exact spot where I popped the big question, only this time the Calvary Church of St. George wasn't there to share the moment. Too bad.

As many of you know, we love the U.K. Bree loves it because she lived there, and I love it because it consistently produces the greatest rock musicians/bands of all time. Plus, they do everything the opposite from everybody else, as if they were a southern hemisphere city located in the northern hemisphere. Did you know that the pepper shakers in the U.K. have more holes than the salt ones? I learned the hard way. Always an adventure.

The only thing that could have made our short weekend in London better would have been a visit to Lou and Jonathon. Circumstances didn't allow it this time around, but fortunately we'll get to see them in a couple of weeks...
